Limitations of a social, cultural and biological nature dictate our levels of awareness and in turn, shape our reality. Tunnel vision is a multi media exploration into how perceptual limitations can shape art and how it is viewed. Currently in their third year at Whitecliffe College of Art and Design, these young artists employ their experimental mediums and focused practice to address artworks as products of awareness and lack thereof. Bringing to attention to the perceptual limitations that inevitably shape their work, they meditate on the cultural conditioning and conceptual boundaries that will inform their art-making throughout their creative careers. Tunnel vision is a thought provoking and ambitious project not to be missed.
