“This group of works is my way of joining up hands from the past and making peace happen where it never did. As an innocent 3rd generation Canadian I wanted to make friends out of old enemies; namely my own European ancestors and the Northern Native Americans who I see as an important part of my heritage.

Crossing the parallels between two vastly different cultures is representative of forgiving the past and carrying only the favourable forward, creating a blend of cultures and eras that results in a “3rd species”. It is also a plea for those of us who are the grown up, great grandchildren of many different cultures, and who now see ourselves as citizens of the world, to be viewed as innocent of our predecessors’ atrocities”.
