Landscape Subdivision Series
20th November - 2nd December, 2007
Gaylene Robyn Earl
Privileged to live in the countryside at Muriwai overlooking Goldie Bush, Gaylene’s love and concern for the forested New Zealand landscape seeks expression in her latest exhibition, the “Landscape Subdivision Series”.

Referencing the current ubiquitous subdivision, land use/abuse of subdivide, clear, burn, bulldoze, lay bare ,farm and lifestyle she uses a montage grid format to underscore the continuing dissection of the land. These intense works attempt to offer the viewer a variety of ways into the landscape to discover beauty or desolation, a grand or an intimate view.
